Middle and Senior Schools English Teacher , 5to básico a 4to medio

Full-time Middle and Senior Schools English teacher to teach Language Acquisition and Language and Literature within the IB up to MYP and DP.

Requirements

• English teacher degree.
• Advanced level of English (C1 min).
• Knowledge and love of Literature.
• IB experience preferable (MYP and DP).
• Native speaker preferable.

Requirements:

• Be a role-model for excellent teaching and professionalism in the department.
• Be responsible for monitoring and improving the level of teaching and learning in the department, providing regular trainings and formative observations for staff.
• Take overall responsibility for curriculum planning within and between IB programmes.
• Ensure all assessments are designed and implemented in accordance with the long-term curriculum plan, IB guidelines, and the internal assessment policy.
• Make effective use of data to inform teaching and learning.
• Ensure timely submission of data, reports, and other academic requirements from the department.
• Support the team with the resolution of pastoral issues.
• Be responsible for designing the annual department development plan, and provide the drive to ensure it is implemented.
• Collaborate with other Heads of Department and Academic Coordinators and contribute to wider school life.
